The formula for calculating free space loss is:

20 * Log10 (frequency in MHz) + 20 * Log10 (Distance in Miles) + 36.6

Free Space Loss is the loss that a radio signal experiences when traveling through free space. This calculation is important when determining the amount of power you will need to complete your Point to Point Link.
